Foodybin LLP - Shipping & Delivery Policy
1. Delivery Commitment and Coverage
1.1. Service Scope:
Foodybin facilitates the delivery of food items ordered by the Customer from Partner Restaurants within defined geographic service areas. Delivery is subject to the operating hours of the selected restaurant and the availability of our Delivery Executives.
1.2. Estimated Delivery Time (ETA):
The estimated delivery time (ETA) is displayed to the Customer at the time of placing the order. This time is calculated based on the restaurant’s preparation time, traffic conditions, and the distance to the delivery location. The ETA is only an estimate and may vary.
2. Delivery Charges
2.1. Calculation:
Delivery charges are calculated dynamically based on several factors, including:
Distance from the Partner Restaurant to the Customer’s location.
Peak Demand: Higher charges may apply during high-demand periods (e.g., weekends, holidays, lunch/dinner rush hours).
Order Value: Delivery charges may be waived or reduced for orders exceeding a specified minimum order value.
2.2. GST on Delivery Charge:
All applicable delivery charges are subject to an additional 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST), which will be clearly indicated on the final order summary.
3. Order Tracking and Communication
3.1. Tracking:
Customers will receive a unique tracking link or map view to monitor the real-time location of the Delivery Executive once the order has been picked up from the restaurant.
3.2. Communication:
Customers must ensure their registered mobile number is active and reachable to facilitate contact by the Delivery Executive regarding location confirmation or unexpected delays.
4. Failed Delivery and Customer Responsibility
4.1. Customer Unavailability:
If the Delivery Executive is unable to hand over the order after reaching the specified address due to the Customer being unreachable, the following actions will be taken:
The Executive will attempt to contact the Customer for a specified period (e.g., 5–10 minutes).
If contact fails, the order may be marked as "Delivery Failed" and subsequently cancelled.
4.2. Consequences of Failed Delivery:
In cases of delivery failure due to customer error (e.g., wrong address, unavailability), the Customer will be charged the full order value, and no refund will be provided. This is to compensate the restaurant and the Delivery Executive for the time and product loss.
5. Delivery Delays
Foodybin is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:
Extreme weather conditions.
Road closures, political disturbances, or local restrictions.
Technical issues at the restaurant or platform level.
Note: In case of an unacceptable delay, please refer to our Cancellation Policy regarding eligibility for a refund.
